Do I need a WhatsApp Business API account?

Yes. The official Meta WhatsApp Cloud API is required for any automation at scale. GrowingAI handles the complete Meta Business Manager setup, app creation, phone number registration and API approval process as part of every build. The Cloud API is free to use and you pay Meta only for template messages sent outside the 24 hour conversation window, which is typically a very small cost.

Can I use my existing WhatsApp number?

Yes, your existing WhatsApp number can be migrated to the Business API. However, once connected to the API, you cannot use that number with the regular WhatsApp app on your phone. Most businesses create a dedicated business number for the AI agent and keep their personal number separate. GrowingAI advises on the best setup for your specific situation.

How much does the AI API cost monthly?

This depends on your conversation volume. Using your own OpenAI API key, the typical cost is approximately Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000 per month for 500 to 2,000 conversations. This is a direct pass-through cost to OpenAI with no markup from GrowingAI. Your VPS server adds another Rs 800 to Rs 2,000 per month depending on the provider you choose. What happens if the server goes down?

GrowingAI configures automatic restart policies and uptime monitoring as part of every build. If n8n or the Python service crashes, it restarts automatically within seconds. VPS providers like DigitalOcean and Hostinger offer 99.9 percent uptime SLAs. We also set up alerting so you and your team are notified immediately if any component goes offline, which is very rare in practice.

Can the AI handle conversations in Hindi?

Yes. GPT-4 and Claude both handle Hindi, Hinglish and mixed Hindi-English conversations natively and accurately. We configure the system prompt to respond in the same language the customer uses.
