- Local proof counts: directories, Google Business Profile, reviews and consistent address details.
- Write for the languages your buyers actually use, and have a native speaker review anything in Arabic.
- UAE data protection law requires consent for marketing messages. Check the current rules before you automate.
We work with UAE companies, and the pattern is familiar. A buyer in Dubai asks an AI engine for an AMC provider, a clinic, a fit out contractor or an agency. A shortlist appears. If you are not on it, the call never happens. Here is how we think about it for this market.
Buyers ask in specific, local terms
Questions include the emirate, the free zone, a budget in dirhams and often a constraint such as response time or a licence. Generic national pages rarely answer them. Pages that name the areas you serve, the licences you hold and the response times you commit to do.
Entity facts: be boringly consistent
- The same company name, trade licence name and address everywhere.
- A complete Google Business Profile with the right categories and service areas.
- Listings on the directories UAE buyers use, with identical details.
- A clear about page with named people and the years you have operated.
Language
Many UAE buyers search in English, many in Arabic, and many switch. If you serve Arabic speaking customers, publish proper Arabic pages written or reviewed by a native speaker, not machine translated copies. We do not promise engine specific results in Arabic, because behaviour varies and we measure it per client. What we can say is that a page nobody can read well will not be quoted well.
Proof that engines can cross check
In our Emtech case study, an IT company in Dubai was cited across five AI engines for IT AMC queries after a rebuild with clean structure, schema and an assistant for visitors. The point is not the number. It is that the work was ordinary: clear service pages, consistent facts and honest proof. You can read the details on the case studies page, and the market page is AI SEO in the UAE.
WhatsApp and data rules
WhatsApp is how many UAE buyers prefer to talk, so fast replies matter. Two rule sets apply. First, the WhatsApp Business Platform rules on windows, templates and opt in, covered in our API rules guide. Second, the UAE federal personal data protection law, Federal Decree Law 45 of 2021. Commentary on the law says processing generally needs the individual’s consent, consent must be specific and opt in, and individuals can object to direct marketing. Law firm summaries also note that executive regulations were still pending when they were written, and that some free zones such as DIFC and ADGM have their own regimes. Check the current position with a UAE lawyer before you build automated outreach. We are not lawyers and this is not legal advice.
Six steps for the next month
- Write twenty real buyer questions with emirate, budget and constraint.
- Test them in two or three AI engines and log who appears.
- Fix one service page so it answers fully, with a price range and response time.
- Align your name, address and services on every listing.
- Set up a WhatsApp reply flow with consent and a handoff to a person.
- Retest after a month and compare.
